SOLANO COUNTY DUI CHECKPOINT IN VALLEJO TONIGHT

The Vallejo Police Department will conduct a driving under the influence and drivers license checkpoint tonight, November 2, 2018.   The checkpoint will be fun at an undisclosed location starting at 6 p.m.

The Solano County checkpoint will be funded by California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and the Vallejo Police Department supports OTS’s efforts to educate all drivers that “DUI Doesn’t Just Mean Booze.”  Valljeo Police Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment and if needed, specially trained officers will be called to evaluate drivers suspected of drug-impaired driving.

A person charged with a DUI in Solano County could be punished with probation, fines, a DUI school and up to 6 months in jail under the California Vehicle Code. Punishment is greater for people with multiple offenses for driving under the influence.
