The Solano County AVOID the 10 DUI Task Force conducted a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, August 26, 2016, in the City of Dixon. The Avoid the 10, comprised of police officers from Dixon, Fairfield, Vacaville, Rio Vista, Vallejo Benicia and the California Highway Patrol, held the Checkpoint on northbound Highway 113 between Industrial Way and Atkinson Road.
After the 6 hour DUI checkpoint officers had screened 460 cars but arrested only ten people. Three drivers were arrested for driving on a suspended license, and seven were issued citations for driving without a license but no drivers were arrested for drunk driving. Solano County Officers also, conducted field sobriety tests on four drivers.
