A San Mateo woman was arrested for a DUI on June 12, 2017, in Belmont after driving her vehicle through a fence at a school and injuring a child. Emergency responders treated an injured child at the scene of the crash.
When police officers arrived they found a Toyota Corolla that had driven through a fence before coming to a rest near a school building. Police officers stated that an 11-year-old Belmont boy was struck by the alleged drunk driver and that he was treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of DUI and child endangerment.
