During the week of May 21, 2017, Marin County law enforcement agencies conduced multi-agency operation targeting 17 specific DUI offenders on supervised probation. During that countywide sting officers made arrests in Novato and Tiburon for violations of probation.
Five law enforcement teams including Marin County Probation Officers and Novato Police Officers split up across the county conducing searches of residences and cars belonging to DUI offenders. Any driver on probation who was found to be under the influence of alcohol, in violation of the terms of their probation, was transported to Helen Vine Recovery Center in San Rafael.
Marin County drivers arrest tonight for driving while impaired face possible jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, and additional expenses that can sometimes exceed $10,000.
