The Los Angeles Police Department will be running three DUI and driver’s license checkpoints on Friday June 16, 2017, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. The drunk driving checkpoints will take place in Koreatown, Hollywood and Sherman Oaks.
In addition, the LAPD will be out in force conducting a DUI saturation patrol from 5 p.m. Thursday until 1 a.m. Friday. Los Angeles Police officer have stated that they investigated over 2,400 driving under the influence-related accidents resulting in 21 fatalities and more than 1,000 injuries in 2016.
