On August 20, 2016, City of Vallejo Police Officers conducted a six-hour long DUI and driver’s license checkpoint.  The checkpoint was held at the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Solano Avenue.  At the conclusion of the California Office of Traffic Safety funded drunk driving enforcement the Vallejo Police Department had arrested three drivers for suspicion of drunk driving.

On Friday, May 27, 2016, the Avoid the Marin 13, Marin County’s multi agency DUI task force conducted a drunk driving checkpoint in Novato.  The checkpoint ran from 6:00 p.m. to midnight and resulted in two drunk driving arrests.  One other driver was arrested for possession narcotics and twenty two other drivers were issued citations for diving on a suspended license and/or various other traffic ticket moving violations.

The San Rafael Police Department has announced that Marin County law enforcement officers, as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign, are set to deploy DUI Checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols during the upcoming 17 day Holiday DUI Enforcement Campaign.

San Rafael Police and all law enforcement agencies operating under the Marin County Avoid DUI Task Force, will be actively searching for and arresting drunk drivers from December 18, 2015, to January 3, 2016.

The Avoid Task Force will be conducting two Drunk Driving/Driver’s License Checkpoints and multiple DUI saturation Patrols. during he Holidays.  A DUI checkpoint will be run in the City of Novato this Friday, December 18, 2015 and the Task force will be conducing roving drunk driving patrols throughout Marin County on December 19, 21, 22, 23, 27, 30, and 31, 2015.  In addition, there will be a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint in the City of San Rafael on Saturday, January 2, 2016.
