A San Francisco Driver Hits Fairfield Police Officer’s Car and is Arrested for DUI

On Monday, June 26, 2017, City of Fairfield Police were called to investigate a possibly impaired driver in a parking lot on the 1300 block of North Texas Street.  When they arrived the police found a pickup truck stopped in the roadway on Texas Street at Jefferson Street.  When an officer contacted the driver and told her to turn off the pickup truck she refused and drove away only to stop again  in the middle of the street at Texas and Madison streets.

When another Fairfield Police Officer pulled up behind the truck, the driver backed up hitting the front of the police car.  The driver then took off again the chase was on.  The driver ran a red light and struck a City of Fairfield Public Works vehicle, and hit another police car prior to stopping.  Fairfield Police Officers took the driver and her passenger into custody.  The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
