Vacaville Police Department gets a $220,000 Grant to fight DUIs

The City of Vacaville Police Department has received and will administer a $220,000 grant from the State of California to enforce a Solano Countywide campaign against drunk driving.

Police agencies throughout Solano County participate in the Avoid the 10 DUI Task Force  that targets drivers who get behind the wheel after drinking too much or using drugs that may impair driving.  Solano County Officers will use the grant funds to run DUI and driver’s license checkpoints and drunk driving saturation patrols.

Local officers in Vallejo, Fairfield, and Vacaville will also target the drunk driving offenders with outstanding warrants by conducting probation sweeps and post court sting enforcement operations focusing on drivers who have suspended licenses.
