Marin County – San Rafael Police Proclaim STRIDE Program a Success

The City of San Rafael Police Department’s STRIDE (Stopping Traffic Related Injuries and Deaths through Enforcement) has been in effect for a little more than forty days and the SRPD has declared it a success.

According to the San Rafael Police Department the STRIDE Campaign is responsible for a reduction in injury and fatal traffic collisions. San Rafael Police plan on continuing their STRIDE traffic enforcement during back to school week, San Rafael students went back to school on August 21, 2014, and throughout the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.

Traffic citations can result in points being assessed on a driver’s DMV record which can result in license suspensions and increased insurance rates. Traffic trials in Marin County are heard in Department N of the Marin County Superior Court located in the historic Frank Lloyd Wright designed Marin County Civic Center.
