2 Arrested at Novato DUI Checkpoint

Two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence last Friday, August 22, 2014, at a checkpoint on De Long Ave. and Redwood Blvd., in Novato. More than 1,600 vehicles drove through the over 6 hour long checkpoint.

The Novato Police Department are part of the Marin Avoid the 13 multi agency DUI task force which runs drunk driving saturation patrols and checkpoints periodically throughout the year. Funding for the special driving under the influence enforcement comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
